Hello everyone,

I want to install lighting for stair treads.
The stair builder has already recessed an aluminum profile for the LED strip into each tread.
A two-core cable runs to each stair tread.
Now, I would prefer not to solder the cable directly to the pads of the LED strips.
Is there a neat and simple way, such as crimping, to connect the cable to the strip?

Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards,
Julian

Google "led strip connector," first result (or any other in the list). There are many options available, often including tool-free solutions.

Depending on the type of LED strips used, there are different connector options.

What is planned to be used? Why is soldering not an option?

The classic clamp connector does not fit into the aluminum profile, or if it does, the frosted glass cover no longer fits into the profile.

I would prefer a plug-in solution that I can prepare in the workshop and only need to insert into the stair tread. Furthermore, this would make it easier to replace the profiles in the future if one is damaged.

Solder any Molex connector, pin header, or similar, and it will work fine.
