Hello everyone,
I’ve been a long-time IKEA fan but I’m new to the forum. I’m currently moving and planning my first kitchen. Naturally, I would prefer one from IKEA. However, I have realized that there doesn’t seem to be a solution for my problem. I’ll try to explain briefly.
I really don’t have much space for the kitchen. The longer side is 206cm (81 inches) and the shorter side is 140cm (55 inches). The connections for the sink are on the longer side in the corner. The problem is that the stove connections are on the very end of the shorter side. So basically, I end up hitting my back on the edge of the stove when I’m standing in the narrow gap at the sink (an architectural masterpiece!).
My idea: a 90x90cm (35x35 inches) corner solution with a corner base cabinet and a matching worktop for the sink. Then, directly attached in an L-shape, a 50cm (20 inches) wide free-standing stove. So not a corner with two 60cm (24 inches) deep countertops coming to a point, but a 90x90cm (35x35 inches) worktop with a straight “standing area” at the front (specifically for corner base cabinets with sinks). That might just work! On the long side, there would still be space for the fridge (50cm/20 inches wide) and a dishwasher (45cm/18 inches wide).
However, I haven’t found any 90x90cm (35x35 inches) corner base cabinets at IKEA, nor any option to order a matching worktop cut to size. Did I miss something? Other IKEA-compatible solutions for this issue would also be welcome!
Thank you very much!

IKEA-Experte2 Jul 2015 12:59A corner diagonal cabinet should also be able to fit a sink. I just wonder if the door is wide enough to install the water supply and drainage. You should definitely clarify this beforehand. Unfortunately, the information about the cabinets in the Mömax planner is very limited.
With METOD, the 30cm (12 inches) and 50cm (20 inches) wide cabinets that were available with Faktum are unfortunately missing.

Lolalotte3 Jul 2015 07:29Hello Ikea expert, the tip about the door width is very important! Thank you very much!! I wouldn’t have thought of that. I was only considering whether the sink fits on top because of the edges.
I’ll just continue planning now, and once it’s finished, I’ll share a photo – but it might take a while. Delivery times with all manufacturers are currently around 6 weeks.

IKEA-Experte3 Jul 2015 11:48Six weeks is quite normal, as the kitchens are only manufactured upon order.
