Hello,
I am currently retiling my bathroom. The washing machine drain trap is currently located to the right in front of the washing machine and looks quite unattractive, see photo.

White washing machine in small laundry room in front of beige tiled wall, cleaning products visible.

Unfortunately, I cannot reposition the washing machine.

What is usually done with a drain trap like this during a renovation? Is it typically hidden somehow? Is it relocated behind the washing machine or covered with drywall panels?

I am trying to do as much as possible myself but have no experience with plumbing work.

Thanks for suggestions, Philipp_
