Hello everyone,

we are currently planning our house and having some difficulty deciding on a bathroom layout. There are two options. Maybe you have some tips or suggestions on which design would be better or what could possibly be changed. In bathroom 1, I’m concerned about the toilet being right behind the door. In bathroom 2, the door is supposed to open towards the sink.

Thank you very much for your suggestions 🙂

Maybe you should share both versions with the forum?! Unfortunately, you didn’t attach any.

I vote for Plan B, where the bathroom and sink are nicely lit, but with a changed door swing so that the door opens in front of the bathtub.

One more note: You have the space, so consider whether you really want to stick with the 170 cm (67 inches) bathtub. I would never go back to a 170 cm (67 inches) tub again.

I agree with @SoL on this. Additionally, you can plan a glass panel between the shower and the bathtub, for example mounted on the edge of the tub and, if more depth for the shower is needed, extended as an L-shape down to the floor. This also makes the bathtub area feel more open and less dark.

Option B also has the advantage of providing easy access to the window.
