Hello everyone, I am planning to get a new wardrobe and have my eye on the Ikea Pax system. Since I am not very skilled with DIY and don’t want to spend too much time on assembly, I am especially interested in whether there are Ikea Pax wardrobes that come pre-assembled or at least partially pre-assembled. So far, I have only found information saying that you have to assemble everything yourself, but maybe someone here has experience with delivery services, special models, or accessories that make the assembly much easier. I look forward to any helpful advice and tips!

I'm also curious whether Ikea offers any additional items that make assembly easier

The best you can get are accessories like shelf supports or special tools that can be purchased. But there are no pre-assembled components for Pax.

In short: Pax is delivered completely disassembled. A cordless screwdriver and patience are your best companions. There are no pre-assembled modules or cabinets available.

I always find it remarkable how Ikea consistently follows through with the concept of "assemble yourself instead of delivering pre-assembled." But for those who don’t want to or can’t do it themselves, the assembly service is genuinely a great alternative.

Maybe not what you wanted to hear at first, but knowing you’re not alone when you’re nervous about assembling can be helpful too.

Many thanks to everyone for the detailed information! In summary, Ikea Pax wardrobes are generally delivered as flat-pack kits, without any pre-assembled parts. Fully pre-assembled deliveries are not available; however, paid assembly services can be used for installation. Additionally, partially pre-assembled components or doors are also not offered. For me personally, this confirms my plan to hire a professional for the assembly to avoid mistakes and save time.

If anyone has tips on how to best prepare for the assembly, I would greatly appreciate any advice.

A final quick tip for preparation:

- Clear the room where the cabinet is going to be placed.
- Lay out all the parts sorted according to the instructions.
- Make sure you have enough tools ready (cordless drill, hammer, possibly a spirit level).
- Ask another person for help, especially when lifting and aligning the carcasses.

With good organization, the assembly goes much more smoothly.
