I am currently planning a new wardrobe for my bedroom and am particularly interested in the Ikea Pax system. Now I am wondering if there are any Ikea Pax wardrobe models that come standard with two sliding doors—basically a model that doesn’t have traditional hinged doors or doors divided into four sections, but explicitly offers only two sliding doors as a feature and design. I want to make sure the wardrobe looks balanced and saves space, as I simply find sliding doors more practical. Are there such models? Or is it only possible to customize this with Pax rather than buying a complete set?

Sliding doors are usually only available in larger widths, such as 100cm (40 inches) or 150cm (60 inches).

You won’t find Pax models with two sliding doors under 100cm (40 inches) in width.

The question about using two sliding doors with Ikea Pax can be answered clearly: there are sliding door models available for widths of 100 cm (40 inches) and 150 cm (59 inches) that consist exactly of two sliding doors. The doors come in heights suitable for carcasses measuring 201 cm (79 inches) and 236 cm (93 inches). It is important to note:

- The minimum width for two sliding doors is 100 cm (40 inches).
- Dimensions between the standard widths will cause the sliding doors not to fit.
- Interior fittings are the same since the doors only cover the front.

Therefore, the sliding doors are not a separate wardrobe model, but a door option within the Pax system. Personal planning is necessary to ensure the dimensions are exact.

This means using two sliding doors in a Pax wardrobe with ideal dimensions is easily possible.

In summary, I can only add: If you want two sliding doors, choose one of the standard sizes (100 or 150 cm (40 or 60 inches)). Also, pay attention to whether you need the cabinet to be 201 or 236 cm (79 or 93 inches) high, as both heights are available. You won’t find a specific "finished" model number for two sliding doors; it is more of a "setup" consisting of the Pax carcass and sliding doors.

The sliding door systems for Pax are only available in specific widths, usually exactly 100 cm (39 inches) and 150 cm (59 inches). The interior remains the same, and you can use all Pax components as usual.

Many thanks to everyone for the very helpful responses!

To summarize:

- Ikea does not offer fixed Pax complete wardrobes with exactly two sliding doors; instead, door options are available for carcasses 100 cm (40 inches) and 150 cm (60 inches) wide.
- Heights up to 236 cm (93 inches) are possible.
- The interior fittings are the same as for hinged door versions.

This is very helpful for my further planning. I especially appreciate Kugau’s comment that the sliding doors are intended as a flexible “modular option.”

I will now start configuring with the Ikea planner and hope it works as expected.

If anyone has tips for assembling the sliding doors, I’m happy to hear them.

When installing sliding doors, keep in mind:

- Ensure the tracks are perfectly aligned; otherwise, the doors won’t slide smoothly.
- Sliding doors are heavier than hinged doors, so the tracks and brackets must be securely anchored.
- Follow the Ikea instructions carefully, especially the assembly sequence.
- After hanging the doors, check their movement; small adjustments to the rollers are often necessary.

If you pay attention to these points, the installation will go smoothly, and the doors will operate quietly and reliably.
