Hello!
I'll start.
Heated area 200m2 (2,153 sq ft)
KfW 55 standard
Mechanical ventilation with heat recovery
Current outdoor temperature 6°C (43°F)
Heating energy consumption including hot water 35 kWh
Electricity consumption 9 kWh

First of all, thanks for the feedback. I am definitely willing to approach this topic seriously. At first, I didn’t want to start a new thread before fully understanding the system myself → amateur. I will now contact the heating installer about the black tubes. I have also ordered several thermometers to measure the temperature in the rooms. After that, I will compile all the data for our specific case and open a dedicated thread.

Just a quick addition: I have been recording the values for 28 days now: average heat generation: 90.7 kWh, average electricity consumption: 22.52 kWh, average compressor starts: 6 per day.

It is normal for the pipes to darken. However, they should not turn that black or do so within such a short time. I would definitely file a complaint. Flush the system and refill it with demineralized water (DI water).

What kind of electricity consumption are you experiencing today or since yesterday with the low temperatures? Do you have the electric heating element in the heat pump running, or does your system manage without it?

The heating element has never been active for us; our heat pump is supposed to operate down to -22°C (-8°F) without it. I believe the lowest temperature so far has been around -16°C or -17°C (3°F or 1°F).

Electricity consumption today is about 20 kWh.

Temperature overview in an app: flow temperature 30.2°C (86°F), return temperature 26.5°C (80°F), outside temperature -7.1°C (20°F).

According to the SMA photovoltaic app, I currently have about 28 kWh, with only one meter and occasional negative temperatures in the double digits Celsius (below 10°F). This is without using an electric heating element.

Today, the total house energy consumption will be 29.5–30 kWh
