Hello,

we are looking for a mirrored cabinet that suits our needs.

What should we consider?

How wide should the mirrored cabinet be? As wide as the sink or wider?

How high should the mirrored cabinet be? We can only install the bottom edge of the mirrored cabinet at 150cm (59 inches) because we have a plinth at 120cm (47 inches) where the sink is mounted, and under the mirrored cabinet on the plinth there is still space to place items.

We have Laufen VAL 75 (bathroom) and Laufen Pro S 45 (toilet). A mirrored cabinet should be installed above both sinks.

Which vanity cabinet would you recommend? The vanity should definitely have a black handle or be handleless (push-to-close), as we have black faucets from Grohe.

So far, we have found the following brands:

Badselekt
Sanipa

The original Laufen does not have black handles.

The handles can be painted or replaced. I wouldn’t get too hung up on that. (We planned the same sink but 55cm (22 inches) wide for the guest bathroom.)

@Schorsch_baut Which base cabinet did you plan? Unfortunately, only a 45cm (18 inches) one fits in our guest bathroom.

Do you think it’s possible to find matching black handles for the base cabinet? If yes, where? They need to have the same hole spacing and so on.

Painting the handles matte black yourself probably wouldn’t look good.

Currently, we are planning to use only an oak shelf with a towel holder in front. However, the drilling hole distances for the handles are mostly standard enough that you can usually find an alternative.
Wall shelf made of light wood with metal bracket on the wall.

So, would you say that we should go with the original washbasin cabinet instead of Sanipa or Badselekt and simply look for a matte black handle?

Could you possibly give a tip on where we should start our search?

Do you also have advice on the dimensions for the mirror cabinet?

Take a look at LGM and fittings.
I can’t say anything about mirrored cabinets; I don’t like them. We only have regular mirrors and are planning a built-in cabinet in the bathroom.
