Hello everyone,

I want to install a fence made of double wire mesh panels on top of a garden wall. Now I’m wondering if the panel thickness of 6/5/6 at a height of 120cm (47 inches) is sufficient or if it will be too flexible and I should rather use 8/6/8? If it makes a difference, the posts will be anchored with dowels and not concreted in, and no privacy slats will be installed!

Thanks in advance!

Best regards

Hopefully you used stainless steel screws, otherwise they will rust and look even worse.

Just use plastic covers. Preferably in fence color.

I have thought about that too, but in my opinion, it still looks pretty bad.
The question is how well they fit, etc.
If then, I’d prefer metal ones in RAL7016. Are there any recommendations? Otherwise, I’ll just put “caps” on...

Hello Shawn, what you can do is paint the screws as well. I bought my fence from camas, and they offer matching spray paint for every color they provide. This is probably to cover the cut edges when you need to shorten something. I used that to paint the screws. They are now practically invisible. Best regards

Until we know how the detail looks, there can be no meaningful advice.
