ShawN46Hello everyone,
I want to install a fence made of double wire mesh panels on top of a garden wall. Now I’m wondering if the panel thickness of 6/5/6 at a height of 120cm (47 inches) is sufficient or if it will be too flexible and I should rather use 8/6/8? If it makes a difference, the posts will be anchored with dowels and not concreted in, and no privacy slats will be installed!
Thanks in advance!
Best regards

Hello everyone,
a quick update: I followed rick2018’s advice and installed 8/6/8 glazing, but only 100 cm (39 inches) high, which was more than enough. I wanted to avoid regretting the slightly higher cost later, as I found the 6/5/6 panes a bit too flexible (although they would probably be stable enough).
I do have one question: The screws mounted in the base plate don’t look very neat and somewhat spoil the overall appearance of the fence, in my opinion. Is there some kind of cover plate or similar for this? I know from handrails that the fixings are often concealed with a cover rosette. How have you handled this? Or did you just leave the screws exposed?
