by now there are quite a few different household appliances for cleaning floors, such as robotic mops, electric wet mops, and steam cleaners. Do you use any of these, or do you simply use a bucket with a mop?

Since the topic of cordless vacuum cleaners came up in another thread, we decided to get a Crosswave a while ago based on the comments here.
For us, it was a complete waste of money. We used it a few times, and since then it has just been sitting in the box in the corner. We basically threw away 400€ (about $430).
Poor suction performance, especially along edges; the brush was way too thick, and we couldn’t get it under many pieces of furniture. The mopping function was a joke, and if you didn’t clean it thoroughly after every single use, the whole apartment would smell like mold the next time you used it.
I don’t even dare to put it up for sale online because I don’t think anyone should have to deal with it.

It’s certainly not the best vacuum mop, but we are still very satisfied. I also find the suction power good. Especially with small children (3 and 1 year old), quite a lot ends up on the floor during meals. The vacuum is really great on our very rough tiles.
Cleaning is indeed quite time-consuming. We usually vacuum once a week with the vacuum mop. The cordless vacuum is used daily.
It’s important to occasionally replace the filters and brushes as well.
However, if the vacuum mop doesn’t suit your needs (low furniture, no desire for time-consuming cleaning, etc.), I can understand the frustration.
