Hello,
by now there are quite a few different household appliances for cleaning floors, such as robotic mops, electric wet mops, and steam cleaners. Do you use any of these, or do you simply use a bucket with a mop?
Best regards,
Sabine

We will also have to decide which vacuum-mop robot to use. Has anyone had experience with this one:
ECOVACS DEEBOT N8 PRO+ We have been using a Roborock S5 Max for a year now. We like it a lot. We always run it room by room. For example, in the bedroom, I run it once just for vacuuming, and the second time with mopping. For rooms with carpets, we only vacuum of course. I think you can even exclude carpets in the app, but I haven’t really taken the time to explore that yet. These devices are good for basic cleaning but don’t replace proper manual cleaning. However, since the robot significantly reduces dust and loose dirt, manual cleaning is needed less often. You especially have to check the corners, as robots tend to struggle there.
I believe the Ecovacs will be just as good as the Roborock.

Of course. Sometimes that’s the fastest and most effective way. So far, despite being overweight and 50 years old, I can still manage it without problems.
I don’t fall for the advertising craze (at least here) and don’t buy a machine, a "specialized product," or order a service for every little task. Correction: For a few weeks now, we have had a very cheerful cleaning helper in the house. So, I have started ordering a service after all.

Daily Swiffer and the good old 80cm (31.5 inches) wide horsehair hall broom. In between, a spray mop and on weekends the mop cloth. For crumbs, a Dibea 200Pro, which is a top Chinese vacuum cleaner.
A Xiaomi Roborock will come once the kids stop leaving their toys around. Cool, we planned it back then and now we have had the Roborock S7 for 3 months. I wonder why we didn’t buy it earlier.
It’s fascinating how coordinated it moves and how clean it gets.

Your post is so arrogant it’s disgusting... I hope you don’t really mean it that way or that you aren’t that pretentious.

Your post comes across as so arrogant it's nauseating... I hope you don’t actually mean it that way or that you’re not really so out of touch.I interpreted it differently and took away that @evelinoz apparently has a fairly well-off daughter.Tom1978 schrieb:
And have you tested them all? Of course not. But there are neutral reports and some knowledge showing that round and corner brushes don’t fit well, no matter how many brush arms there are.

We would actually have to mop much more often than we do, so I’m wondering if a mop vacuum would be worth it? Ask yourself if you would trust it. Would it replace regular mopping or just be for heavy dirt, meaning you’d still have to do some manual cleaning afterward?
Not only the well-known review sites are somewhat divided in their ratings: very good on large surfaces, but rather poor on details. You can cover a surface quickly with a simple mop as well. The cleaning and hygiene for quick touch-ups with such a device doesn’t sound particularly good or better, more like just okay… Overall, you end up doing manual touch-ups again. In my opinion, these devices are too expensive for that.
And no, if you’re asking whether I’ve tested one myself. Exactly for the reasons above, I think it’s not worth spending my money on. But the hygiene issue is something everyone has to decide for themselves, which is why I’m giving you my opinion. It also seems like cost is a factor for you.
I've now also moved this more to the skeptical side. 😉
My wife isn't too enthusiastic about it. She thinks the device probably wouldn't be used as intensively as our robot vacuum or battery-powered handheld vacuum.
What we’d really prefer is a proper floor-washing robot—one with similar technology (rollers that clean themselves immediately) rather than a flimsy cloth that’s only slightly dampened.
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find anything like that...
