Hello,

I am currently requesting quotes for glass sliding doors. Due to the small distance between the door and the wall (the door runs along the wall) and because the offer includes the door and the track housing as an inseparable unit, there is only one recessed handle on both sides. The door separates the hallway from the living/dining/kitchen area and will probably remain open most of the time.

Has anyone had experience with adhesive handle bars for glass doors?

Unfortunately not. The handles are screwed on. This results in spacers between the handles and the wall.

See pictures.

Then a pocket door like the one we have ..... is probably the best option 😉 We also initially considered a pull bar handle, but we like it better without one, and as you said.... the door is usually open anyway 😉

Is it double-sided and glued?

I really like it.

In our case, the door is almost always closed. So it gets used several times a day. In that situation, a grab bar is definitely the better solution.

No, there is a hole in the glass... it is screwed in.
However, I think bonding is just as strong and also looks better 😉
The door can be easily opened with the recessed handle, and closing it is very smooth.

First decide on the more practical opening width, then choose the type of handle. We preferred a bar handle and made the passage slightly wider to accommodate it.
