guide rail in the floor,
door stopper on the ceiling,
mechanism at the top edge of the door and frame,
motorized operation.
Nice idea but not seen on the market yet: I would like a magnetic stopper.
In the past, there used to be door holders for this purpose.

That would mean you have to screw into the door, right? I can’t quite visualize how or exactly where it would be installed. That’s why I said "do it boldly." Screw the hinge to the top of the door leaf and the frame, done. Brilliantly simple and incredibly stable.
That all sounds quite technical. The background of my question is the recently discussed situation regarding the bathroom door on the top floor, which might open outwards. According to my planner, it’s a minor issue. However, the roof slope should be considered, because if the door opens close to 180 degrees, it could leave unsightly marks. Therefore, the solution should ideally integrate with the existing situation in a way that remains mostly invisible.
