ᐅ Any experience with the Cisco SG250X-24P-K9-EU switch?

Hello everyone,

I am considering using/acquiring a managed switch for the future home network.

In my opinion, it should meet all necessary requirements: Layer 3, routing, IGMPv3, VLAN without a router...

Does anyone have experience with this device or any other comments?

Best regards

Double NAT is not an issue specific to Ubiquiti. It always occurs when you have two routers connected in series. So, if you only connect a Ubiquiti switch to a Fritzbox, you won't encounter this problem. By the way, this issue would be resolved by having a pure modem in front of a router (in UBNT's case, the USG).

All clear to me. As far as I know, the Ubiquiti switch is not a layer 3 (L3) switch.

Edit: I just saw that the Pro apparently is...
Edit2: and extremely expensive

So DSL connection -> modem -> USG -> switch -> Fritzbox for telephone?

No, but that wouldn’t matter if you only had a modem in front of the USG. Then you would only have the 1 Gbps bottleneck if you have a lot of traffic between the VLANs.

Correct.

Which Ubiquiti switch are you referring to? There are different models available.

I have two ES-24-250 Watt switches, and they also support Layer 3 routing.

As I said, what really puts me off is the hassle with Magenta TV. Sure, there are solutions, but no one seems to be truly satisfied with them.
