Hello everyone,
I am considering using/acquiring a managed switch for the future home network.
In my opinion, it should meet all necessary requirements: Layer 3, routing, IGMPv3, VLAN without a router...
Does anyone have experience with this device or any other comments?
Best regards

Somehow, the question of how experienced the original poster is with networking in general and Cisco in particular has still not been answered here. Without prior knowledge, it is hopeless; with general prior knowledge, the "Cisco switch" project is still at least very challenging. As a CCNP, of course, it looks different.
My knowledge is limited to what I learned during my training and some basic experience from my job. Professionally, I have little involvement with spanning tree, trunking, routing, etc. Of course, I understand these concepts, but they are not part of my main responsibilities.
Again, I looked into the switch because it can handle almost everything “out of the box.” I don’t need an additional router for VLANs, and it supports IGMPv3.
I am simply hoping to combine VLANs, VLAN routing, PoE, and Magenta TV in a single device with 24+ ports.
If anyone has an alternative, please share.
The Edge series from Ubiquiti seems to be an option. Has anyone ever had one of those in their hands and used it?

As I mentioned, I have two of these in use and also run VLANs with them.
Upstream is the Ubiquiti USG-Pro-4.
I don’t have MagentaTV, just use FTTH from Deutsche Telekom. Do you route the VLANs through the USG or the switches?
