Hello,
we are currently considering which interior doors to choose.
I would prefer white doors because they are neutral and match everything, but my husband doesn’t like that at all.
Maybe you can inspire me and show what kind of doors you have ; )

, before building our house, we often had white doors and these would always yellow around the handle. It may be that others always close the door by the handle, but in my experience (and from observing others) people also close the door by the door leaf itself, which over time causes these discolorations that are hard to completely remove depending on the surface. That’s grease! You often see this around light switches at (great) grandma’s place.
Usually, you can clean that off.

However, saying that wood is just a trend and then choosing to install expensive real wood flooring (oak) seems a bit contradictory to me...I was probably the only one implying that wood or a certain wood style follows changing trends, so you must have meant me, but I did not install real wood flooring.
I do think a lot about mixing styles and I’m quite open to it. But several wood tones, types, and grains can clash with each other. You can also see this in the photos posted: the homeowners usually matched the wood tones to the floor or furniture and paid attention to this. But furniture is sometimes changed since tastes evolve over time. That’s not a bad thing—people do like a change of scenery occasionally.
Doors, however, are fixed parts of the house and should, on the one hand, be subordinate, and on the other, match each other and the windows.
Ten to fifteen years ago, beech was highly praised. What is now pine or maple was beech then. Nobody wants beech anymore! Let’s see what happens to pine or maple in the future.
Therefore, I do as @Bauexperte does and prefer to repaint the walls every two years and replace a carpet or the whole furniture—things that fit the simple elegance (white) better—and I suggest to @Lile08 to keep the doors neutral.
In the end, taste is personal and everyone is entitled to their own.

And the same goes for the parquet flooring, though maybe not in your case; it might clash with new furniture as well.
But everyone has their own taste, so everyone will find something they like.
Regarding cleaning, as I mentioned, there are different surface finishes, but after a few years I often noticed stains on white doors that I couldn’t remove anymore.

White lacquered doors and glass doors, as well as doors with glass panels, are available from us. I like this style best because it is timeless and modern – we also live in a Bauhaus-style house. Some of our walls are painted in Bauhaus colors.
The floor is made of gray Onsernone granite and oak parquet. Various wooden furniture pieces complement this.
Wooden doors feel too 'country-style' and too dominant to me.

...Is your avatar from your house? Stairs?Pah.... We love beech!! The furniture is solid core beech wood, the floor is light, neutral maple parquet, and the doors are white... It just works with everything.
