Hello everyone,

I hope the topic description fits my question. Our house is now turnkey ready. The electrician rolled up all the network cables and hung them under the circuit breaker panel in the utility room.

For cost reasons, I would like to connect the cables to the patch panel myself.

I have 6 network outlets in the house. So I need a patch panel with at least 6 ports. A network switch and a Fritz!Box are already available.

Which patch panel would you recommend?
What else do I need to connect to the patch panel?

The "small thin gray" cable is the telephone connection, right? Which connector do I need for that?

I hope you can give me a bit of guidance.

By the way, their DECT repeater is expensive – at least I think it’s a lot of money for that little device...

Exactly, that's why I haven't bought it yet. Do you know a good alternative?

No, so far I have only searched with them, but since this is a standard, shouldn’t there be other options as well?

Not much, from what I can tell, and they’re usually not cheaper—sometimes even noticeably more expensive.
You might as well buy a budget FritzBox, which then gives you both DECT and Wi-Fi repeater in one device.

Wi-Fi repeaters are kind of a tricky topic. But can the Fritzbox also function as a DECT repeater? That would be new to me...

Yes, the combination has already been in operation.
