ᐅ Wooden Staircase: Cleaning Sanding Dust

Hello everyone,

maybe someone has a tip...

We have a staircase made of beech wood with a dark stain.
During the construction phase, the steps were always covered with cardboard, with a piece of painter’s fleece on top.
There were also areas on the steps that were not covered but were not walked on either, such as along the edges or in the corners.

After removing the protection, it turned out that the staircase has no damage, but the uncovered areas are lighter in color.
It looks as if drywall dust somehow settled there.

Unfortunately, the stains do not come off with water or soapy water.

Does anyone have experience with this, knows if it really is dust, and how to remove it?

Thank you!

Then I was just a bit impatient with the lead time.
I just didn’t expect anything to happen so quickly after such a short time...

Could you please send me a link to the product?

Thank you.

We have had parquet flooring installed since the end of May, and in the home office, there is a clear chair mat under the desk chair (to prevent the chair wheels from damaging the parquet). Even now, there is a visible difference between the parquet under the mat (lighter) and the rest of the parquet (darker). It is light oak, white oiled.

We recently removed the adhesive residue on our parquet flooring using this cleaning oil from Frosch. It can also be used undiluted. Your stairs are sealed, right? We also stained beech wood dark.

Of course the staircase is sealed, so that’s what surprises me.
In my opinion, I only need a cleaning product.

Could you possibly send me the link to the product?

Thank you ...

Frosch oil IS a cleaning agent – wood cleaners are usually oil-based. Purchased at OBI
