Hello everyone,
I have a somewhat specific question: “Which replacement parts for IKEA Malm furniture are most commonly needed and frequently ordered or replaced?”
I’m particularly interested in common issues and wear parts that occur with Malm dressers or beds, preferably from those of you with experience in DIY repairs. Are there typical replacement parts that tend to fail repeatedly?
It would also be helpful if you could briefly describe whether the replacement is difficult or if there are parts that are hard to find.
Thanks in advance for your insights!

I really like how everyone is sharing their experiences here. It’s good to know that you can also use third-party providers, especially when you’re mindful of time or availability.
We’ve overcome quite a few furniture fails with MALM; it’s less stressful when you tackle it together 🙂

A quick update from me: Last week, I replaced the drawer slides. Thanks to the tips shared here, the replacement was actually doable. The IKEA instructions are good, but your advice on taking a calm approach really helped.
The difference is truly noticeable; the drawers are running smoothly again! Thanks to everyone for the support.
