Hello everyone, I’m currently planning my walk-in closet and considering which IKEA product lines work particularly well as a complement to PAX. Specifically, I’m interested in which series or components you find harmonize well with PAX in terms of appearance, functionality, or modularity. I’m thinking, for example, of shelves, sideboards, or drawer inserts that meaningfully expand the system or optimize storage space. I’d also appreciate any tips on creative combinations you might have tried yourselves. What should be especially considered when supplementing PAX? I’m grateful for any suggestions!

Nice discussion so far. I would like to add that beyond the functional aspect, the required space is also important. The PAX systems are generally quite deep (about 58 cm (23 inches)) and can pose a challenge for other furniture if those pieces are deeper.

What I often recommend are the LACK shelves. Their depth is significantly less (around 20 cm (8 inches) for wall-mounted shelves), which makes a lot of sense in smaller rooms. They help fill gaps or make additional use of wall space to neatly store accessories, smaller boxes, or shoes.

This results in a combination of ample storage space with PAX and better visibility thanks to the LACK elements—making the system much more versatile and homely.
