ᐅ Telekom Hybrid or Vodafone Cable – Advantages and Disadvantages for Internet Access

Although I am building in the capital city (yes, really in Berlin itself), there will be no decent DSL available at my construction site (max. 6 Mbit). So far, I have been considering either Vodafone cable (although I haven’t received an offer yet) or Telekom hybrid.
Until now, I was leaning towards cable. But reports about complete outages in the evening and disadvantages due to shared bandwidth are making me reconsider whether I should go with Telekom after all.
What are the pros and cons of these two technologies?
Side question: Other traditional DSL providers like 1&1 or O2 are offering me higher speeds up to 50 Mbit. Is that even possible if Telekom only promises 6 Mbit? As far as I know, they don’t have their own lines but use Telekom’s infrastructure, right?
Thanks and best regards

Well, I now have a firsthand report from right next to my building site about Vodafone. Mostly in the evenings and on weekends, when user load naturally increases, the connection tends to drop out completely for 15-30 minutes. Shorter interruptions are then more frequent as well.
The internet in general is also full of negative reviews, which I usually don’t pay much attention to, because people rarely report when everything is fine.
So once again, thanks to @Nairil for the positive report regarding Telekom Hybrid.
With cable, there might still be the option to switch to a commercial plan that guarantees a minimum bandwidth (basically a priority connection). Since I am planning to install a lot of photovoltaic systems anyway (not immediately but as soon as possible), I will have to register a business anyhow...
Are there any other disadvantages with one or the other?
I’ve heard that some multiplayer games don’t work with one or the other because of the protocols used or something like that. Does anyone know more?

I initially had a hybrid router at our place because we only had a 16,000 connection. I need a reliable connection for my home office, which I have been using four days a week even before the pandemic. I was very satisfied with the performance of the service. According to speed tests, I had 24,000 Mbps available.
Since then, the provider has upgraded the network, and we now have a 100,000 connection with 40,000 Mbps download speed. And I am able to achieve both speeds!

We have 1G connection from Vodafone/Kabeldeutschland in our house,
installation costs 1,000 € (approx. 1,000 USD),
various plans available,
currently we pay 40 € (approx. 40 USD) per month for 1G,
our direct neighbor has 6 Mbps, all lines are occupied, no chance for faster speeds.
Maybe the only option is to check availability weekly and then act quickly.

But none of you hybrid users happen to be gamers, do you?
This is somewhat important for our family.
Unfortunately, expanding broadband at my building site will probably take a while. It’s not a new development area but a gap in an existing settlement. Nothing has been upgraded there in the last 20 years, so why would it happen now? At least, there is nothing shown on the expansion plan map from the telecom provider.
🙁
@Nida35a Do you sometimes experience connection drops in the evening or on weekends?
