ᐅ Telekom Hybrid or Vodafone Cable – Advantages and Disadvantages for Internet Access

Although I am building in the capital city (yes, really in Berlin itself), there will be no decent DSL available at my construction site (max. 6 Mbit). So far, I have been considering either Vodafone cable (although I haven’t received an offer yet) or Telekom hybrid.
Until now, I was leaning towards cable. But reports about complete outages in the evening and disadvantages due to shared bandwidth are making me reconsider whether I should go with Telekom after all.
What are the pros and cons of these two technologies?
Side question: Other traditional DSL providers like 1&1 or O2 are offering me higher speeds up to 50 Mbit. Is that even possible if Telekom only promises 6 Mbit? As far as I know, they don’t have their own lines but use Telekom’s infrastructure, right?
Thanks and best regards

I am currently with o2, Classic Flex M. Everything works perfectly there.
However, I just noticed that I have had the contract since 10/2016, so I’m not sure if anything has changed with the cable since then, but it doesn’t seem likely.

In our old house, we had Vodafone. Now we have Telekom. The difference is that Vodafone is cheaper. But you get what you pay for. More prone to interruptions, and trying to reach their fault service is a real challenge. Mobile network is great, excellent coverage, but not cheap either. Landline service, forget it. Telekom is a whole different story. In three years and eight months, no network outages; if there was an issue, a simple router reset was enough. They don’t just meet the promised speed of 50,000 (50 thousand); they often exceed it significantly. Today's speed test showed 58,000 (58 thousand). They are reachable and, very importantly, don’t bother us with sales calls about new contracts and so on. Vodafone was good at that – making unsolicited sales calls.
There are countless variables in every case that explain why one solution works better for one person and another for someone else... this cannot be generalized.
I have had KabelBW/VF for years, practically no outages, and currently a 500mb (500 Mbps) connection. Just two streets away, people constantly complain about outages...
Maybe ask your neighbors which provider works best for them. Also, define your own technical requirements.

Use the cable and only reconsider if it really causes problems.
DOCSIS is not fundamentally a bad technology; its performance and reliability depend on the equipment (quality of the home wiring, which is often a major issue in older apartment buildings) and the load on the node you are connected to.
The fact is that all customers on a node share the available bandwidth. DOCSIS 3.1 is currently being deployed nationwide, recently including upload speeds. This will gradually ease the issue, although improvements in the upload area will take some more time.
