In our case, the electrical outlets have always been loose and are now completely coming out of the wall. I opened one up and took a photo. Is this type of installation correct, or was it done poorly? The outlet hardly has any support like this. How can this be fixed or repaired?

Exposed wiring behind two rocker switches in a damaged wall box.

There are plaster leveling rings for that

Cool, I didn’t know that. Thanks for the info! Unfortunately, I’ve already repaired it with plaster. If it comes off again, I will fix it using those. Thx

Hello

Köpfchen gave the right advice: use spacer rings on the blank wall box. Naturally, screw the spacer rings onto the blank wall box. If you want to do a good job, fill the gap between the plaster and the spacer ring with filler. Then screw the outlet into the spacer rings with appropriate screws. And if you tighten the retaining clips a bit, it should last until the next Stone Age.
