Hi,
same project, next question.
Faktum base cabinets with 3 RAtionell drawers each. These come with the soft-close feature.
Now I have the problem that the countertop is too narrow, and the handles would stick out. Since it’s a cooktop half-island, I can’t extend the countertop beyond the front either.
My idea was to equip the drawers with push-to-open mechanisms. That way, the countertop could be flush with the front. Holes for the handles haven’t been drilled yet, so that would be possible. I could then sell the soft-close rails.
What options do I have? Are there any from IKEA or third-party suppliers?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
phobos

Is there anything from IKEA or external? Hi,
IKEA offers Utrusta.

But does that mean I would have to remove the soft-close slides?
Is it not possible to combine them?

IKEA-Experte21 Jul 2015 14:23You have to try that. If the tension springs are stronger than those in the UTRUSTA push-to-open mechanism, it obviously won’t work. The damping combined with the openers doesn’t make any sense.
Blum now offers drawer slides that combine both functions, called Tipp-ON BLUMOTION.
