Hello everyone, some time ago I bought an Ikea Hemnes dresser, and unfortunately several drawers are having significant problems. The drawers often stick or don’t close properly, which makes using them quite annoying. I have already checked for loose screws or bent rails but didn’t find anything unusual. I’m interested to know if anyone here has solutions or tips on how to effectively fix these common issues with Hemnes drawers. Are there any workshop tricks, adjustable components, or recommended replacement parts? I would appreciate any help, especially long-term solutions that permanently improve functionality!
Update from my side: I just measured all the rails and checked them with a spirit level. It turned out that two running rails were slightly installed at an angle, which could explain the jamming. I will loosen the screws again and realign the rails.
I also inspected the stoppers on the rails; they seem a bit faded and brittle, so I will order replacements.
If anyone has experience with the best way to replace the stoppers, I would appreciate any tips.

Thanks for all the tips so far!
Today, I realigned and cleaned the rails. After installing the drawers, they slide much more smoothly, but the closing mechanism is still not perfect, so sometimes they don’t fully latch.
I’m going to replace the stoppers now and see if that improves the mechanism.
Has anyone heard of any adjustment on the front side that can improve the closing? I noticed that the front is slightly misaligned in some places.

Has anyone heard of an adjustment on the front panel that can improve closing?Yes, with the Ikea Hemnes drawers, there is often an option to slightly adjust the front panels. Most fronts are attached to the drawer with screws that can be turned to correct the alignment. By slightly raising or lowering the front, you can improve the closing mechanism.
Work carefully to avoid changing the overall tension. A slight lateral adjustment can also help.
If the front is crooked, it can negatively affect closing.
