Hello community,

I have been quietly following for a while. I have now planned my kitchen and am almost finished, but I am having major headaches with my 220cm (87 inch) tall cabinet designed to hold a microwave and a built-in oven.

This is exactly the tall cabinet I am using:

Black wooden cabinet with open upper compartment, middle compartment empty, several drawers below.

Metod / Förvara
Tall cabinet for oven/microwave with door/3 drawers, black, Tingsryd black

I have a built-in oven that is 59cm (23 inches) high.

The problem is that if I install the oven shelf at the height it is intended, the drawer below will not close because it hits the bottom of the oven. If I raise the oven shelf by one level, there is a gap between the drawer and the oven.

I need to install a panel, which according to IKEA is placed between the oven and the microwave (the microwave is IKEA HUSHALLA, 35cm (14 inches) high)....

I am a bit desperate and hope you can help me.

Hello, since you didn’t specify a model, I assume the oven is not a new one from IKEA, so it doesn’t come with an installation manual for METOD. Have a look and see if the instructions help:

The special floors for the oven/fridge can still be adjusted in height, as described in the manual.

Thank you very much. That helped. Once the oven is properly secured to the tall cabinet, everything is flush. Here’s a photo for you with the trim panel installed.

But when I look at the instructions for the microwave "Hushalla," I’m already dreading it...

It already looks quite good. When installing the microwave, at least you don’t have to adjust a trim piece, as was necessary with Faktum.
