Hochglanz017 Apr 2015 12:43A cheerful hello!!
The kitchen planning is in full swing, including the topic of the countertop. Unfortunately, I have no experience at all with quartz stone slabs.
This thread is meant to be a bit more general:
Has anyone ever had a custom-made countertop made, INCLUDING a flush-mount installation for the sink?
Are you satisfied?
Waiting time?
Were there any challenges?
Did you ever have to claim a warranty?
Would you use the chosen material again?
Thank you very much for your time, Hochglanz

Doppellunt8 Apr 2015 13:44Hello Hochglanz,
Since January 27, 2015, we have had a Bredskär sink, 62 x 46cm (24 x 18 inches), undermounted in a 4.00 m (13 ft) long Personlig countertop in dark brown-black, 2.8 cm (1.1 inches) thick and 66.5 cm (26 inches) deep. The delivery time was 22 days, which is no longer than for a custom-made countertop without an undermounted sink (we had already ordered one like that in November).
We don’t have long-term experience yet, but so far we are satisfied and would buy the countertop and sink again. The dark brown-black countertop is not more sensitive than our previous dark brown-black countertop from Westag Getalit with an aluminum edge. I recently read somewhere that Lechner apparently manufactures the countertops for Ikea.
The only challenge was deciding the distance at the front and back where the sink should be positioned.
Best regards

Hochglanz018 Apr 2015 19:23A wonderful good evening Doppelspüle,
thank you very much for your feedback.
Ah, I hadn’t even considered the keyword distance yet. Thank you for pointing that out.
Your waiting time was 22 days, which is impressively short. 😀
I am focusing on the quartz stone countertop... There is hardly any real user experience available online so far.
Wishing you a great week, Hochglanz
