Hello everyone, some time ago I bought a BILLY shelf from IKEA, and unfortunately, a few of the screws have been lost or damaged. Now I want to order replacement screws, but I’m not sure where to find the correct screws in the right size and with the proper specifications. Does anyone know a reliable source where I can easily order these replacement parts? Alternatively, I would also appreciate tips on how to accurately identify the original screws so I don’t end up ordering the wrong ones. I would prefer not to disassemble the entire shelf or receive incorrect screws. Thank you in advance for your help!

I totally agree! IKEA usually has a pretty good replacement parts service, sometimes even with instructions showing which screw goes where :-). If you want a bit more variety, there are also third-party sellers on eBay or specialty hardware stores that offer IKEA-compatible screws. However, trust me, the original screws just fit better! 🙂

I experienced the same when I tried to get replacement parts. It was really frustrating because some screws didn’t fit, even though I thought they were identical. It’s definitely worth taking a closer look and, if in doubt, asking the customer service. I can confirm that the customer service over the phone was very helpful and even suggested a replacement pack that matches my BILLY model. So don’t give up – there is a suitable solution.
