Hello,
I am currently renovating my terrace. You can see it in the picture. There used to be small, thin tiles on the terrace. I have now removed the tiles and the top layer of the wall because the new terrace tiles will be laid right up to the edge of the wall. The new wooden posts for the fence and roof will be installed from the ground up to the wall.
Over the years, the terrace has settled somewhat and has a dip in the middle. Therefore, I need to level a difference of between 1cm and about 4cm (0.4 inches to 1.6 inches). The stairs are at the same height as the exit from the terrace door, which will be replaced tomorrow.
Here is my plan, and I would appreciate feedback from experienced members.
I intend to install formwork around the terrace and mark the finished height on the wall and the formwork, subtracting the thickness of the terrace tiles and tile adhesive. Then, I would prepare a fluid concrete mixture made of gravel, cement, and water to level the surface. Once it has cured, I can then set the terrace slabs on top.
What do you think?
Thank you
