Since many of you have great ideas and suggestions for floor plans, I’d like to share our first proposal online as well.
We need 3 bedrooms. We want 2 bathrooms. One only needs to have a shower.
We also want to include a guest room.
The master bedroom should be in the cross gable, as our plot is positioned to offer a fantastic view from there.
What we don’t like ourselves:
The fireplace is really awkward. It’s located just before the end of the kitchen counter. We would prefer it to be closer to the living area. The question is how to adjust the layout upstairs. Currently, we are planning around 172 m² (1,850 sq ft). If necessary, we would consider building slightly larger.

Best regards,
Xinette

Plot is 20 m (65 feet) wide in total. The house must be positioned this way due to the orientation. Building line width is 15 m (49 feet).

Where is south? Is there a site plan?

So the entrance doesn’t have to be there, right? Where would south be then?

It doesn’t have to be this floor plan, but it is from one of your preferred house builders, showing that there are other options, even for a country-style house.

South faces the rear at the cross gable.

I am thinking that if the staircase is in the living area, it might cause problems later on if there are three teenagers, right?

In Yvonne’s example floor plan, it would definitely be possible to separate a hallway between the staircase and the dining area.
I would like this floor plan with one or two adjustments.
I think you should stick to a landing staircase like this.
