Since many of you have great ideas and suggestions for floor plans, I’d like to share our first proposal online as well.
We need 3 bedrooms. We want 2 bathrooms. One only needs to have a shower.
We also want to include a guest room.
The master bedroom should be in the cross gable, as our plot is positioned to offer a fantastic view from there.
What we don’t like ourselves:
The fireplace is really awkward. It’s located just before the end of the kitchen counter. We would prefer it to be closer to the living area. The question is how to adjust the layout upstairs. Currently, we are planning around 172 m² (1,850 sq ft). If necessary, we would consider building slightly larger.

Best regards,
Xinette

I would guess the distance between the bed and the wardrobe is too small.
The space next to the stairs feels awkward.
The kitchen is very large compared to the amount of furniture.
The entrance is right next to the staircase (common in many homes, but probably not ideal in terms of cleanliness).
The cloakroom for 3 children might be too small and is blocked by an open door – if you have more than 2 guests, congestion could occur.
The living area seems somewhat small in proportion (though it is open plan).
The fireplace feels a bit out of place there.
The bathroom upstairs might be a bit too large.

I agree with BeHaElJa’s comments.

I would relocate the staircase. Having it right next to the front door means that dirt from outside will be carried upstairs. This changes the entire floor plan, so I will not suggest any improvements.

Do you have an example of a different staircase and three bathrooms plus one bedroom on the upper floor? In all preliminary sketches, we kept coming back to this staircase design. Otherwise, it doesn’t fit upstairs.

I recognize the style 😉. Country house 170 with custom design.
I don’t like it either, for the reasons mentioned above. They have moved the walls carelessly.
What is your plot like? Maybe a side entrance with a 2/4-turn staircase in the middle of the long side would work better?
