Hello everyone, I just bought a Kallax shelf and want to place it in my home office on an untreated concrete floor. To prevent the shelf from shifting or becoming unstable under load, I’m looking for recommendations on how to securely fasten or fix it to this type of surface. It’s important to me that the fastening can be removed later without leaving significant marks, in case I want to move or remove the shelf at some point. Does anyone have experience with specific anchors, adhesive methods, or other solutions that work particularly well on concrete? Tips on suitable floor protectors or rubber pads that prevent slipping would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your advice!

Heavy-duty anchors provide the most secure hold; there’s no doubt about that. Alternatively, use non-slip mats. Additional effort offers little added value unless you want a permanent wall installation.

I would recommend the simple anti-slip pads; they are affordable, do not damage the floor, and allow the shelf to be easily moved if needed. Drilling into concrete is often unnecessary and complicated, especially when a residue-free result is desired.

maybe a compromise: anti-slip pads plus hidden wall mounting?

That's exactly how I did it. Anti-slip rubber under the feet, and a light screw fastening at the top of the shelf to the wall, which doesn’t cause any damage, provides support, and can be removed without leaving residue. Works great.
