Hello everyone!

We are currently installing our Bobdyn kitchen. Among other things, there is a kitchen island. It is 2.00 m (6 ft 7 in) long and just under 1.00 m (3 ft 3 in) deep and stands on tiles with underfloor heating. Therefore, it is not possible to anchor it to the floor.

We purchased these black Metod plastic legs that are simply snapped on.

My question is, can I replace these with these Capita legs?

Thanks and best regards

I have also considered a timber frame construction. For now, I am planning to glue the already installed plastic feet to the cabinet and add a few Capita feet as well. Once the cabinets are connected to each other, I will see if everything fits. I’m curious to find out.

The countertop will be installed in week 40. By then, all the cabinets should be in place.

Thanks again for your help. I will get back to you.

Greetings from Cologne

I've just thought of something.

The plastic feet aren't meant to be installed without a baseboard, for aesthetic reasons.

Are the Capita feet suitable for installation without a baseboard?

Are the Capita legs suitable for installation without a plinth?

Yes, they are designed for visible installation.

Hello,

here is some brief feedback from me. We ended up using only the plastic feet. However, we additionally secured them with construction adhesive (so the black plate to the wood and the feet to the plate). Everything is rock solid.

Thanks again for the contributions.
