Hello everyone!
We are currently installing our Bobdyn kitchen. Among other things, there is a kitchen island. It is 2.00 m (6 ft 7 in) long and just under 1.00 m (3 ft 3 in) deep and stands on tiles with underfloor heating. Therefore, it is not possible to anchor it to the floor.
We purchased these black Metod plastic legs that are simply snapped on.
My question is, can I replace these with these Capita legs?
Thanks and best regards
Thomas

IKEA-Experte17 Sep 2015 15:13Hello, you can. Why wouldn't that be possible?

IKEA-Experte17 Sep 2015 15:43Once all the cabinets are screwed together, they will also stand firmly on the METOD legs. Simply build the island on the METOD legs, and if it seems too wobbly, screw a few CAPITA legs underneath or just use extra CAPITA legs from the start. The base area is much smaller with CAPITA, so the pressure on the floor is higher.

Of course, you can also build a wooden frame construction that you fix to the floor with silicone and attach the cabinets on top of it.
