Hello,
Our electrician is letting us down a bit. The following dimmer was installed:
Merten MEG5131-0000
Can I now safely buy LED bulbs, or is that not possible? I don’t want to spend money for nothing. So far, we have been using halogen bulbs...

Of course, you can get LED and halogen bulbs at the hardware store.
However, I would recommend choosing branded LED products. Some of our bulbs from Ikea have already failed, and the ready-made lamps from the hardware store for the utility room and storage (no-name products for 20 €) have also burned out in some cases.
Personally, I make sure that light sources (for example, on the left and right sides of the mirror) always use the same type of bulb. There are quite a few variations of warm white, even if the color temperature is specified the same. And I wouldn’t rely too much on terms like daylight character 😉

The color rendering index (CRI or Ra) plays an important role in the colors shown, and it is indeed true that incandescent bulbs had very good color rendering. However, if you pay attention when buying LEDs, you can get very good light sources. No one complains about the CRI of fluorescent tubes not being good, either.
