ᐅ Location of the house and garage on the property?

You need 5 meters (16 feet) of space in front of the garage (left side) to park a car. To ensure that you can still drive the second vehicle in and out on the right side, you will need at least the same length of space in front again.
Since those who are less confident with maneuvering tend to drive smaller cars and usually prefer to drive straight in and out of the garage, the larger vehicle will likely need to be parked on the right.
If you plan to have a hedge or garbage bins on the right side of the driveway, it’s better to allow for some extra space.

Why? Because you would lose garden space? You actually have more than enough 🙂

I would move the garage as far as possible toward the bottom of the plan, that is, south, so you get an adequate yard and a nice seating area by the house. The compost can then be placed behind the garage, so it won’t be visible.

The compost is planned in the bottom right corner. We also want to establish our vegetable beds in the same corner. We don’t want a large seating area in the yard; we prefer a quiet terrace on the south side. In our opinion, the yard will already be large enough with the garage set back.

I wouldn’t come up with anything technical, but simply use a basic chute, like the ones used long before your time to deliver coal into the cellar. You can do the same with wood, just with less mess than back then.

That’s how we still do it at my parents’ house.
Exactly because of that, I want to avoid having to bend and rearrange the stacks of wood multiple times.

Wood out of the forest -> splitting and sawing -> directly into the mesh container for drying -> dried wood in no time into the cellar
So, only need to load it nicely into the containers once

By seating area, the terrace is meant 🙂
