Is there an official hotline for Ikea Platsa assembly issues?
I recently purchased several PLATSA cabinets and encountered multiple points where the assembly instructions were quite unclear. Specifically, I’m missing information about the connectors and the correct alignment of the shelves when used together with the drawers.
Does anyone have experience whether Ikea offers a dedicated hotline where you can get direct support for assembly problems?
I’m particularly interested in whether this hotline also covers technical questions specifically about the PLATSA product line, or if it only handles general customer service inquiries.

To be honest, the “I want a hotline” approach is often too general. Ikea, for example, does not operate a separate hotline for every product for economic and logistical reasons.
Whether it makes sense to create a dedicated hotline for every assembly question is a different discussion anyway. Perhaps it would be more efficient to improve the general support structure so that more specialists are available there.
Just a thought. What do you think?

The most effective way is to call the general customer service and ask to be transferred to the furniture department. It’s important to have the product name and a detailed description of the assembly problem ready.
Sometimes a phone call is not enough, so the only options left are visiting the store or hiring a professional assembly service offered by Ikea.
From Ikea’s perspective, a centralized customer service model is economically sensible and practical. A separate PLATSA hotline would mean extra effort without significant benefit for customers.
