ᐅ Experience with Quality Differences Between IKEA Platsa and PAX Systems?

Hello,
we have a wall in the hallway about 190cm (75 inches) long and 2.58m (8 ft 5 in) high where I am planning a wardrobe. In the initial drafts, I planned this Pax wardrobe with sliding doors, next to which there is a bench (Besta system). Above that, there are also Besta wall cabinets.
Now I have seen that the Platsa system also offers a good option to combine this and it seems easier to assemble. However, I am wondering if the quality (long-term durability; "feel/texture") is sufficiently good?
Unfortunately, I cannot directly compare these two systems at the moment – has anyone already compared both systems and has experience with where exactly the differences between Pax and Platsa are?

yellow_ms28 Feb 2021 18:52On the left is a Metod tall cabinet with a depth of 37cm (15 inches). No coats here; those are in the 1-meter (39 inches) Pax closet on the right. The lower half on the left has internal drawers—each person has their own for hats and scarves, above that a drawer for keys and wallets, and at the top some shelving. This way, hardly anything gets left lying around, at least in theory—if it weren’t for the little ones 😀

Alessandro1 Mar 2021 07:24I'm not an Ikea fan, but I have the Pax system myself and am very satisfied. I would never consider cheap junk like the Platsa. I'd rather save up for something of higher quality.

Alessandro1 Mar 2021 08:22No, I didn’t buy it because I already found the quality in the store really poor. Everyone probably has different expectations. I once threw an Ikea chest of drawers out the window because the gap sizes and warped doors drove me crazy 😉 Even the guys from the assembly service who put together my PAX couldn’t fix it...
