Hello everyone, I’m about to assemble an IKEA Brimnes piece of furniture and would like to know: Is there a way to make the assembly process faster and more efficient without compromising stability or quality? I’ve already skimmed through the instructions, but they seem quite detailed and somewhat confusing at times. Maybe you have tips or tricks from your own experience on how to avoid common pitfalls and work more quickly. I’m especially interested in advice on preparation, tool selection, and any helpful shortcuts during the process. Thanks in advance for your recommendations!

Regarding faster assembly of the IKEA Brimnes: I found it very helpful to read through the entire instruction manual once before starting. This gave me an overview of all the steps involved.

Additionally, I recommend paying attention to the following points:
- Always use the correct tools; a screwdriver that is too large can damage the screws.
- Tighten the screws just enough by hand until all parts are connected – only fully tighten them at the end.
- A small tip: start with a sufficiently bright workspace to avoid losing small parts.

A common mistake is tightening everything immediately and then realizing that parts are not fitting properly.

I definitely want to emphasize this. Many delays are caused by this.

It’s a bit faster if you deburr the edges manually and lightly sand the wooden edges with sandpaper before assembly. This helps the panels fit better and prevents them from jamming.

Also, slightly moistening the dowels before inserting them helps, as it reduces the wood swelling too quickly and getting stuck during insertion.

Small tools like rubber or wooden mallets make it easier to join the parts without causing damage.

Don’t underestimate the value of teamwork either – having a second person can be extremely helpful.
