Hello,

I was working away from home this week and stopped by the construction site briefly this evening.
I couldn’t believe my eyes.
The main contractor installed the interior window sills, but they protrude by at least 10 cm (4 inches), and probably around 8.5 cm (3.3 inches) after plastering.
Isn’t that unusual nowadays?
That was common practice in the past when you needed to hide radiators underneath.
Now all the issues begin, but surely it can’t stay like this, right?

Best regards,
Daniel

Your agreement was probably documented in writing*, so that shouldn’t be a problem, it just needs to be redone.

* I’m happy to send an email in the evening after our call: "Today we agreed the following by phone: ..."

And slowly I'm starting to feel like I should start drinking.

Drinking your window sills clean will be expensive in the long run.

Yes, I usually handle it by email as well. This time too, but there were many important points discussed, so I didn’t go into the details of the window sills. I also didn’t realize something could still go wrong there—it actually seems impossible. The plasterers are already working, so I’ll just leave it as it is. I can live with a 4 cm (1.6 inch) difference.

But I guess I’ll never understand some things; sometimes I feel like there’s a hidden camera [emoji327]. However, partial payment for that is out of the question.
