If it would work, would the dampers need to be removed?
Best regards

IKEA-Experte19 Dec 2013 20:29Hello,
the weight of the doors is not an issue, but combining an electric door opener and a damper does not make sense.

Nordkäppchen19 Dec 2013 22:43Hello,
the weight of the doors is not an issue, but using an electric strike and a door closer together doesn’t make sense.Thank you. That was exactly my thought as well.
I will go ahead and get the openers and install them.
Oh, one more question... are there right- and left-handed Pax doors, or is this just a manufacturing defect? During installation, I noticed that the middle hinge holes are at different heights, so I had to offset the matching part on the cabinet by one hole.
Best regards,
Nordkäppchen

NordkäppchenYes, there are. This used to be the case with the doors as well. There, the hinge also had to be mounted one hole off.
Why this is the case and why they aren’t all drilled the same, I don’t understand...

IKEA-Experte23 Dec 2013 20:20With two holes offset from each other, I would have guessed that in ancient times there might have been a carcass with a shared central partition to which the doors were attached, but an offset hole rules that out.
