Bastlerin13 Dec 2009 11:23Hello IKEA fan community!
I want to assemble my Framsta panel wall and have the following questions about fastening:
The wall is mounted on the wall with 4 x 2 elements. According to the assembly instructions, is it correct that it is only screwed to the wall once at the top? It is supposed to hold a flat-screen TV, 3 shelves, as well as glass panels as a backsplash and LED lights.
I can’t imagine that 4 elements stacked vertically can be secured with just 2 screws.
Has anyone tried this before? Or where can I get information at IKEA?
I want the wall to be hung by Christmas.
Happy Advent season, Yours, Bastlerin

Maverick185414 Dec 2009 08:59Hello,
I agree with you. Two screws will never be enough.
As far as I know, there is a track system for this. It is installed at the bottom, middle, and top. You should also fasten the panels securely to the wall because the panels can warp, which might cause them to come loose despite using silicone or similar adhesives. The best option is to screw the panels directly onto the wall, if possible in concealed areas.
Since you will have to drill through the panels anyway (after all, the flat screen won't hold on the wall without screws, right?), you can also use those screws to secure the panels. Then no additional fastening is needed.
If you have any questions, just ask.

kossi197916 Dec 2009 16:10You need to fasten each module individually to ensure proper alignment.
The TV mount is not screwed to the wall but hooked into the module rails.
Best regards, Kossi
