Hello dear community,

I have been researching here diligently for several days, but now I have a question. We are in the process of redesigning our kitchen. The oven will be installed in the classic way, under the cooktop. For this, we have chosen the appropriate Metod cabinet.

White kitchen base cabinet with open front and bottom drawer

As far as I know, the IKEA cabinets are designed for IKEA appliances. The dimensions of, for example, the Raffinerad oven are as follows: W 59.5cm (23.4 inches); D 56.4cm (22.2 inches); H 59.5cm (23.4 inches). The oven we have chosen differs quite a bit in size: W 59.4cm (23.4 inches); D 59.5cm (23.4 inches); H 56.7cm (22.3 inches).

Width and depth should not be a problem. But what about the height? Our oven is 2.8cm (1.1 inches) shorter than the IKEA model. After installation, will there be a gap either under the countertop or under the oven?

I still have the plank from the old Faktum cabinet, which is the same width. However, I’m not sure if we can install it without issues, and it has discolored after 11 years of use.

I would appreciate any answers 🙂

You have mixed up the dimensions a bit.

Width: 594 mm (23.4 inches)
Height: 595 mm (23.4 inches)
Depth: 567 mm (22.3 inches)

Yes, and the ovens at Ikea are significantly taller, which is why I asked.

No, the Beko is also 595 mm (23.4 inches) high (see your link). That’s why it’s mixed up...
