Abrakadabra25 Feb 2011 16:22Hello dear IKEA community,
I have had the Ikea Hopen bed in size 140cm x 200cm (55 inches x 79 inches) for a few years now. Unfortunately, I have been dissatisfied since then because it creaks and squeaks with even the slightest movement. Does anyone perhaps have any advice? I somehow feel it might be due to the metal slats or similar... What exactly can I do?
Regards

Check if there are holes in the metal beams. If so, you can buy white plastic caps with the corresponding screws at Ikea (I needed 16 for my bed), and that should solve the problem (at least it worked for me).
If you want me to email you a photo of the caps, just let me know!

Thanks in advance!
