Hello everyone, I recently bought a Billy bookshelf from IKEA and now I’m facing a problem: my room has a slightly uneven wall, so the shelf doesn’t sit flush against it and looks crooked.
I want to position it as securely and visually appealing as possible. Does anyone have experience with how to properly align the BILLY bookshelf on an uneven wall? Are there any tricks or special methods to compensate for irregularities without the shelf wobbling or being unstable?
Thanks for any helpful tips!

Thank you for the many helpful tips and suggestions! The advice about wedges on the back and adjustable feet was especially useful. The warning about moisture issues is also important and I will keep it in mind.
I plan to cut small hardwood wedges and attach them to the back as a test. I will also carefully adjust the feet.

Thank you also for the tip about the plywood sheet; I might use it if the wall turns out to be even more uneven than expected.
I will share my experience once I have properly assembled the shelf!
