Hello everyone, I am planning to install a Pax wardrobe in my room, but there is a sloped ceiling that is unfortunately not horizontal. My question is: How do you install a Pax wardrobe under a sloped ceiling so that it stands securely and makes the best use of the available slope?

I have been considering whether to adjust the wardrobe height or use only certain components. Are there specific fasteners or installation steps that need to be taken into account? Are there any tips that are particularly helpful for dealing with the slope to avoid gaps or instability?

I would greatly appreciate any advice, experiences, or suggestions on the best approach.

I’m familiar with this situation—I also have a sloped ceiling and almost felt overwhelmed at first. The most important thing is not to stress too much. What helped me was planning the storage space around the flexible PAX units—that means using lower wardrobe sections that fit the slope, rather than just standing the wardrobe upright.

I used spacers to prevent the wardrobe from leaning and installed special brackets to secure it to the wall for extra stability. It’s perfectly fine to seek help or try different approaches until everything fits. It can be frustrating at times, but the result is really rewarding. What exactly does your sloped ceiling look like? Have you measured the dimensions or angles?

I’m happy to provide you with a structured approach for installing a PAX wardrobe on a sloped ceiling:

- First, carefully measure the exact dimensions of the slope on the wall and determine the angle.
- Instead of planning the entire wardrobe at full height, divide it into individual sections that fit flexibly under the slope.
- PAX offers modular wardrobe systems – it’s better to use shorter units and connect them side by side.
- For mounting, use wall brackets and, if necessary, spacer or shim plates to compensate for uneven surfaces.
- Important: securely fasten the wardrobes to the wall to prevent them from tipping over.
- Tip: For very steep slopes, a custom-made top board between the wardrobe element and the sloped ceiling can be helpful.

In my experience, these intermediate steps help avoid unsightly gaps later on and improve safety.

I would recommend adjusting the height of each PAX wardrobe precisely to fit the roof slope and securing them with wall brackets. Use flexible components that you install separately rather than one tall wardrobe.

That is exactly the most effective approach. A PAX wardrobe under a sloped ceiling should always be planned modularly. The assembly steps are as follows:

- Precisely measure the angle and include it in the installation planning.
- Adjust the height of the individual lower units to fit the slope.
- Fill any gaps with shelves or custom-made cover panels.
- Use sturdy brackets or heavy-duty anchors for wall mounting to ensure stability.

Avoid aligning the wardrobe directly against the sloped wall without proper adjustments. This will compromise stability and safety.

This way, you ensure both appearance and functionality are maintained.
