Hello everyone, I recently bought a Pax wardrobe from IKEA and am currently facing the challenge of installing the sliding doors correctly. Although the instructions are included, I find some parts a bit unclear, especially regarding the alignment of the upper and lower sliding rails and how to hang the doors themselves. I’m also wondering what the best approach is to ensure the doors slide smoothly and evenly, as well as which tools would be ideal to use. Has anyone had experience with this and could provide a step-by-step guide or tips to help me install the sliding doors properly and without issues?

Thank you all, your input is very helpful for the installation. One last question: Are there common mistakes I should watch out for to ensure the doors don’t hang crooked or start sticking after a short time? I’ve heard that inaccuracies when installing the tracks can cause slight tilting, which may lead to damage over time.
Very good question, I would like to address that. Common mistakes when installing Pax sliding doors include: - Inaccurate alignment of the upper track (not using a spirit level) - Lack of adjustment of the lower rollers, resulting in uneven contact and doors tilting - Overlooking countersinks or pilot holes that are important for precise screw guidance - Incorrect installation of the rollers intended for each specific door - Not fully tightening the lower guide rail, which can cause it to shift. Always observe during installation whether the doors slide smoothly and do not stick. Adjusting the rollers afterward can often help. Regular checks prevent consequential damage.

Many thanks again to everyone for the valuable tips. I have now installed it in such a way that the doors slide very smoothly and close properly. The most important factors for me were the precise alignment of the top track and the adjustment of the bottom rollers. If anyone is approaching it similarly, be sure to have patience and a good set of instructions ready beforehand!
