First of all, the main reason for stiff or noisy doors is usually the connection between the hinge and the door panel, often caused by poor adjustment and lack of lubrication.
Important points:
- The hinges should be completely disassembled and cleaned to remove dust and accumulated deposits. The plastic dampers can be carefully removed and cleaned.
- Afterwards, I use a special silicone spray because it is less sticky than oil and attracts less dust. Apply a thin layer on the hinge pins and moving parts.
The alignment of the doors must also be done with millimeter precision. This is possible with the adjustable screws – I recommend the following procedure:
- First, slightly loosen all screws
- Then carefully and evenly position the doors so they close flush and only contact the cabinet at the seals
- Tighten the screws one by one while constantly checking the alignment
