Hello everyone,
I am currently working on the optimal organization of our Ikea Pax wardrobe, which is primarily used to store office supplies neatly and clearly. I am especially interested in how to best combine the individual components, such as shelves, drawers, or hanging rods, to efficiently accommodate both small items like pens, paperclips, and notes, as well as larger supplies.
What system or tools are suitable for creating a long-lasting structured order? Are there practical tips on how to divide the compartments effectively to allow quick access and make the most efficient use of the storage space?
I look forward to your assessments and suggestions!

For my Pax system, I use the following structure:
- Upper compartments for infrequently used items
- Middle drawers for frequently used stationery
- Lower sections for paper and larger folders
This way, everything stays accessible, and the most important things are at eye level.

Third-party suppliers often offer more specialized inserts with compartments tailored for office supplies, such as drawer organizers for pens, cards, or cables. That sounds promising, thanks for the tip.
What do you think about fully utilizing the PAX doors? For example, using hook rails for keys or small containers for loose accessories? Especially when storage space is already quite full, the doors could provide extra room.

What do you think about the idea of fully utilizing the PAX doors?Great idea! The doors are often underestimated. With the right hooks or clips, you can quickly create a permanent place for small items – without having to open drawers.
You can also attach notes or calendars there, so important information is always within reach. Organization and functionality in a small space 🙂
To be honest, I think the whole effort with PAX for office supplies is often overrated. There are simply too many options, and it usually ends up in chaos because you get lost in the system.
Why not keep it simple: open shelves for quick access and simple boxes for better organization? This way, you have more flexibility and less effort when reorganizing.
PAX is great for wardrobes, but for office supplies, it shouldn’t be made too complicated.
